The S1 rapid-transit S-Bahn rail link to Hamburg Airport

Services at 10-minute intervals on the S1 rapid-transit S-Bahn rail link to and from Hamburg Airport are the prime direct connection for air travellers. The trip to or from the city centre of Hamburg only takes approximately 25 minutes. Trains on the S1 service are split at Ohlsdorf Station; the first 3 cars run to Hamburg Airport, the rear 3 to Poppenbüttel.
